ERUOHI BISHOP @EruohiBISHOP WAS OUR 1ST SPEAKER ON THE MAY EDITION OF #AARTalk. HE SHARED ON "INNER COMPASS."
Inner compass talked about how will all need to follow our dreams and gain mastery over our thoughts and mind. Also how we need not to run from challenges, but face them head-on and defeat them. He made us come to a realization of how our mind serves as our market share in life because the state of your mind and the quality of your thoughts determines our growth.
Everyday, as we go through the hassles of modern life,we are confronted with the crisis of who we are,
our dreams (potentials yearning for expression) what has happened to us and who/what the society thrive to turn us into.
A lot of us have forgotten our dreams and who we ought to be, and have conform to who/what society calls us.
Good quality of life is inside-out. Our "WILL" is our capacity to act!
It empowers us to move beyond our paradigms, to act based on principles rather than reacting to emotions or happenstance.
We are not the product of our past or our negative happenstance. We are the product of our choices because we are response-able.
That is, able to choose beyond our moods and tendencies. Able to transform ourselves from being victims to victors
Society have scripted us in some ways that are in conflict with our deep inner consciences. Some of us were stripped of our dignity and self esteem by the beast in some men.
If we lack the creative mental ability to envision a better way out and the WILL to effect change,
then our current mind version is obsolete and its time to go for an upgrade.
Envisioned possibilities gives birth to dreams. Dreaming on the other hand builds creative imagination
Well developed imagination helps you create in your mind what you hope to create in your life.
Aligning ourselves to our inner compass is like the combination of elements in chemistry.
When a critical mass of integration is reached, spontaneous combustion is experienced leading to an explosion of inner synergy that ignites the fire within and gives passion, vision and a spirit of adventure to life.
Fulfillment begins with "SELF AWARENESS. That is, our capacity to transcend self and examine our thinking, actions, motives, habits and tendencies.
Our inner compass is our internal guidance system. In other to hear it clearly, you must be still, reflective and meditative.
Sadly, we are all overwhelm with our negative happenstance, noise, flood models and social messages that dull our sensitivity to that quiet inner voice
A well developed and educated inner compass has noticeable effects or influence in every areas of our lives.
It requires great sacrifice, discipline and wisdom to develop an educated inner compass.
How then can one create this inner compass that empowers him/her to align his/her self with true greatness?
To achieve this, we must move beyond the noise around us and take out time to be still, listen to that deep inner voice and respond to it.
We must first understand that results are guarded by principles. Your mind is your market share in life because the state of your mind and the quality of your thoughts determines your growth.
Observation is a process that strengthens and educate your conscience. Every time you fail or succeed at anything, evaluate the factors that created the reality.
Here is how the process works: if you don't like the result you are getting, take note of how the law of harvest operates in your life,
....plot how consequences flow from root causes and see how results can be traced to paradigms, processes and habits.
Everyday confronts us with two powerful choices out of which we must make one; that is, to either live our lives or allow others to live them for us.
When behaviour is confronted with truth in a manner that represents absolute confidence in the truth and recognition of our own ability to learn and change, then HUMILITY becomes the mother of all virtues.
This virtue empowers us to learn from the past, have hope for the future and act with confidence in the present.
The key to creating a meaningful life is not in any year planner, tool or technique since we can't really tell what challenges surprises or opportunities the next moment may herald.
The power to create a meaningful life lies within us. It is in our ability to develop and use that inner voice as a compass.....
.....so we can think and act with integrity in the moments of decision.
Whatever we do, our actions and responses must be aligned with reality so that the development and proper usage of our inner voice (compass) can be enhanced.
When a our life is based on societal trend and acceptance, our choices become influenced by the expectations of others.
When our lives can't go beyond societal trend and acceptance, then we have lost touch with the very core of our inner compass and our ability to contribute meaningfully.
Running away from your challenges or living in self pity and self denial doesn't solve them but makes them bigger and linger on instead.
You may have been a victim of society (rape) but that's not who you are. There's more to you than meet the eyes
Society expect you to remain a victim and keep blaming God & everyone else.
I came to encourage you to face your fears, live above your happenstance,pursue your aspirations until death and failure becomes inferior to success achieve your dreams and make headlines.
It Is not about what has happened to us, but it is all about the man/woman, the dreams, potentials and visions that we have murdered on the inside while brooding over what has happened to us.
It is no fault of yours that you were raped but it will be your fault for refusing to heal. You won't die in this storm!
You are coming out alive, stronger, better and wiser.
You are benefiting from me today because I didn't die in my storm.
Just stay strong because God is ABLE!
