What sex closet are you trapped in? This is #AARTalk and I will be sharing on sex helplines today. Thanks @Bunmi_Sobowale @KICKagainstRAPE

My topic is very interesting knowing dt as a country we don't have established sex helplines like other countries.
What are the sex challenges that will require someone looking for a help line?

We live in a world where sex sells & we are gradually becoming "pornified".

We have seen the amount of sexual content double in mainstream media & even children's programs now have sexual content.

Gone are d days when u leave your kids in front of d tv to watch a program without supervision. Now we see sex in display everywhere.

We have become more aware sexually as a result of seeing sex content on an hourly basis& have become tolerant to it.

We wonder why rape&sexual violence are on d increase, wonder no more..We see it every day, so practicing is easy..

What we see in the media has been a major trigger for some of the improper sexual behaviour on the increase today.

We have all kinds of reality shows & programmes glorifying sex without letting viewers know the risk in illicit sex.

Pornography is becoming the order of the day in d lives of adults &teenagers as with the click of your phone, you are in.

Women are gradually accepting porn in their husbands lives as they see it as better than having an affair.

What they fail to realise, is that men & women involved in porn gradually lose real intimacy with their partners.

Children involved also grow to become adults who have a wrong appetite for sex. Porn users see their partners as object to satisfy them.

So how do we help those with sexual challenges? How do we help our children to know sex is beautiful & sacred?

Many homes are suffering because of exposure to pornography which does not show what real sex & intimacy should be.

Sex for today's topic remains sexual activity & intercourse while a help line is a service which provides listening & emotional support.

Sex helplines provides emotional support for those wt sexual challenges & those in need of info to help them.

Sex help lines can come in a no of ways thru emails, telephones, chats, community centers, faith based centers etc

What @Bunmi_Sobowale is doing with the #AARTalk is helping people make informed choices as it relates to sex issues.

@praisefowowe @tosinpraise have a center for sex where people can go in to talk with trained counselors & therapists about sex issues.

Most faith based organisations have helped but d truth is we need more sex helplines to help manage the effect of lack of sex education.

We need to be open about age appropriate sex education for our kids to put a stop to all the inappropriate sex behaviours we hear of.

We need to open up more  to trained sex counsellors that will help us overcome sexual addiction & pressure.

We hear all kinds of sexual news on d field but d truth remains, dt we were not like this, something has gone wrong wt us sexually.

We hear of sick things being done to kids by adults. .who is to blame? Girls are raped wt all kinds of excuses by their rapists..

It's time to get help and help is available @Center4sex @bukolasusan @BukunolaOlowe @praisefowowe

Thanks @Bunmi_Sobowale , still so much to talk but let me stop here for questions.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to do this. I honour and appreciate you. You are doing a great job with #AARTalk.
